Reading Reflection #3

Book: The perks of being a wall flower
Author: Stephen Chbosky

Writing Reflection #4

My moment so far seems to be going good. I'm finished writing about it and I think I did a pretty good job. It's not a 5 page thing but I think it describes the moment I was thinking about in my head just fine. It is quite personal but I feel that being open can be a good thing sometimes! I found that being able to go and work somewhere quiet by myself really helped me think because I had no other option really. I had to get it done so I just put my mind to it! Plus it was nice and cool compared to how hot Mrs. McLauchlan's classroom is! My blog seems to be coming together slowly but surely. I'm finished almost everything that needs to be done which is a good feeling. I recently updated my blog layout and I think it looks ten times better! I'm still working on making it look more personal though..but so far so good!

Reading Reflection #4

I'm about half way through my book now and so far I'm liking it. It's so different from any other book I've read because I actually want to turn the page and keep on reading. I'm not the kind of person who can read book after book so I'm glad I found a book I enjoy and that's easy for me to read. I've learned a lot about the main character Charlie. He's very different than any other teenage boy. He's not Mr. popular but he's okay with that. He's got good friends and that's all that matters to him. I admire that about him. I have some predictions that Charlie is going to do something worth writing about in his journal. He's always trying new things. He's already had a few firsts since he started high-school like being high for the first time on LSD and eating a pot brownie. I sense something huge about to happen in his life. I mean the book can't just be about his life as a student. That would be just plain boring. Charlie is like someone I've never really known before. He keeps to himself a lot but he isn't shy. He just might be a bit weird too. Some of the things he writes in his journal make me laugh because it catches me off guard. That's one of the reasons why I enjoy reading this book.

Poking the puddle.

I think that one big concern with the Kony 2012 campaign is that what if we just couldn't do enough and there just wasn't enough people getting involved. Like the video said, we need to make sure that the government knows that we all care about this campaign deeply and we want a change. I feel that Invisible Children do address these concerns because that website is all about the campaign and why this campaign is happening and what you can do as an individual to help. Even if you didn't get to watch the video this site still has all the information in writing. This site can open up your eyes just as much as the video we watched in class. To participate in the Kony 2012 campaign I'm going to do my best to tell people about it! I'm going to put up some posters too. I might even come in at lunch on Thursday for the Kony 2012 meeting to show my support.

Personal Additions- Favorite Foods!

Here are a few pictures of some of the foods I love to eat! I didn't chose ALL the foods I find delicious because there would be lots and lots of food pictures. The first picture is a picture of sushi. I love sushi! I can't remember the first time I tried it..but I've been loving it ever since. The second picture I put up is a picture of chocolate covered peanuts. I love chocolate covered peanuts! They are definitely my favorite snack. The third picture is a picture of an egg sand which with bacon. That is probably my favorite breakfast! So delicious! Last but not least is a picture of a chicken ceaser salad. I love chicken ceaser salads because it's healthier and it's very easy to make!

6 word memoir.-"My family will always be here."

I chose this photo to edit and use for my 6 word memoir about family. I think is a perfect picture to display love and acceptance.  My family will always love and accept me no matter what! I know that I can always count on my family to be there and help me through anything. Without my family I wouldn't be the person I am today. I have the best family I could possibly ask for and I'm so grateful for it!
